Three Hunters - Twenty One Trophy’s - In Six Days!!
Congratulations goes out these three guys and the hard working PH’s! The proof is in the pictures. Many wonderful trophy’s. It’s a pretty tall order to have three guys get what they set out to get with no hiccups, but Leab and crew did it again. It really helps when you have guys that can shoot after they are put on a trophy. Justin set a record and took a old ostrich at 740 yards. He knew the exact range and had been shooting even farther at home. But it was a hell of a shot to say the least!
I sure enjoyed working with Justin and his Father and Uncle. They asked me a ton of questions and was very well prepared for the hunt. I almost forgot about one hiccup. We had one rifle stock broke ( TC 375 Encore) and he had to use Leabs trusty 8mm, but the show went on. Hope to have you all back someday. Maybe we can meet up at Barrys place in Kansas on a whitetail hunt. LOL!!
Thank you Justin for the complementary letter. I’m going to share it with the world.
Well the trip was a complete dream come true!! We all had a great time and we can’t say enough about the people with Ingwe Safari. The PH’, cooks, trackers and lodges were great! Leib is definitely a great PH and you can see that he truly loves what he does, the other PH Flip was also a great person. Our group of 3 shot 21 animals in all and all of the animals are exceptional trophies. There is no last day hurry up and shoot animals, it was actually kinda tough having them tell you no that one isn’t big enough all of the time but it couldn’t have been a better trip.
Our animals included Kudu 48 44 and 43 inches, gemsbok 41 38 and 35.5, Impala 23 22 1/4 and 22, springbok 13 1/2 13 12, the blesbuck were all mature trophies, 2 29″ blue wildebeest, a 35″ eland, a outstanding red hartebeest and waterbuck. I also shot a ostrich on the last day at 740 yds, THANKS LEIB!! That is definitely a shot I will never forget. I always wanted a half mile shot and because of Leib I got a chance and made a clean one shot kill.
The lodging was of course 2nd to none and the meals were also outstanding, thanks Leib and Ansa. I would recommend this hunt to everyone and I definitely want to go back someday. Jerry thanks for all of the conversations leading up to the hunt, you definitely made things easier and made sure we had everything in order.
Thanks again,
Justin
Justin was shooting a 300 Rem Ultramag, his dad Brett was going to use a 375 H&H TC Encore but used Leabs 8mm Mauser, and Barry used a Winchester 7mm Mag.
